Lead Developer IT

The Lead Developer, IT Technical Integration & Development will be responsible for providing application maintenance and/or development of Vistra Corporation IT shared applications supporting Vistra and ensuring compliance with performance and availability metrics to support business objectives.

- Develop and implement enhancements to shared applications, as well as provide on-going support for shared applications supporting Vistra Corp; understand and deliver on the functional support needs of Vistra as they relate to the shared applications; provide guidance and leadership to other technical developers on team.

- Follow application support and development processes, standards, metrics, monitoring and reporting in order to ensure the shared applications are available, responsive, and achieving business outcomes and objectives; recommend changes to support continuous improvement.

- Work closely with application vendors, service providers, and internal teams applicable to the shared applications to define and achieve key performance indicators and Service Level Agreements with a collaborative spirit.

- Participate in application development projects as necessary; participate in the development of shared application development business cases; evaluate and make recommendations regarding shared application service providers and products.

- Provide input to short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure the application architecture for the shared applications meets existing and future needs and industry standards; execute disaster recovery and business continuity test plans and evaluate results as necessary.

- Conduct research and evaluate market insight of current and future technology innovations and forecasts regarding shared applications and make recommendations.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

- Experienced gained through college degree programs and/or certifications in business, information systems or computer science with an emphasis in information technology or equivalent experience.

- Eight plus years of IT application maintenance and/or development experience Retail utility industry knowledge.

- Experience with the Inovis application.

- Experience with interface development

- Experience in , Java, XML and Maximo technical and functional application.

- Strong experience with DB2 database
