The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $78,091 to $112,256
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, this position is involved in the oversight, management and administration of Corporate Insurance and Risk Financing Programs. Working in the Insurance and Risk Team this position requires that the candidate work constructively with colleagues, lend knowledge, experience and mentoring skills to assist others in affiliated OpCo#s and Business Areas. Additional requirements include, but are not limited to, management of claims reported to insurers, claim reserve maintenance and reporting, including loss data analysis and trending, management of Insurance policies and related records, Records Retention Program administration, financial analysis, risk identification, contract review and Insurance Certificate issuance. Responsibilities will also include Insurance Renewal Application Preparation and Data Gathering and interaction with Insurance Brokers and Consultants.
Key Responsibilities
•Oversees the gathering of data and completion of Insurance Renewal Applications; including the gathering of data and correlation of responses for multi-million dollar renewals
•Works with Brokers to ensure renewal data requirements are met and submissions complete
•Prepare and maintain accurate records, files and reports associated with large retained loss cost programs
•Prepares multiple Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for Insurance Policy Procurement, Broker Services and other Vendors
•Processes Insurance Premium invoices and develops premium allocation spreadsheets as part of payment cycle
•Responsible for oversight and management of all requests for Insurance Certificates; ensure timely issuance and compliance with contracts and permit requirements of governmental (and related) agencies
•Involved in preparing insurance forecasts associated with Regulatory requirements, including the development of Rate Case exhibits and responses
•Manages documents and records within the Corporate SAP Risk and Insurance Information Management System
•Involved in the preparation of Budgets, Budget Forecasts and Analysis
•Maintains a working and current knowledge of legal, regulatory and competitive environment influencing the price and availability of insurance and related, risk management solutions - makes recommendations to Manager, Corporate Insurance and Risk
•Monitors and reports on loss trends, reserve development and monthly/quarterly reports to Accounting
•Involved with providing external actuaries with data and program outlines so that annual reports can be completed
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience Required:
•Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferred.
•Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required.
•Knowledge of risk management information systems, basic casualty insurance and claims handling procedures preferred
•Working knowledge of PC applications and databases/systems (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
•Experience with Accounting and or accounting systems required
Skills/Abilities:
•Candidate must have strong negotiation and follow-through skills
•Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with analytical competence is required to interact with management and external consultants
•Must possess the ability to work and think independently; must also take direction and be proactive
•Must be organized and be able to manage multiple assigned tasks/projects and complete assignments within specified deadlines
•Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and management, outside officials and agencies, and the public, expressing ideas and instructions clearly and concisely
