The EHS Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Technician will support LDAR activities for a natural gas exploration and production company with primary operations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. The position can be officed in the Southpointe office.
• Maintain a strong bias for action and field presence.
• Provide Air Quality, LDAR support to assigned assets, programs, and projects.
• Perform field visits, inspections, training, and manage projects.
• Provide guidance and assistance to the company’s field operations.
• Perform field visits to verify data, work with the company to attain compliance, and respond to agency inquiries.
• Solve problems with creative solutions to produce significant results. • Performs primarily self-directed in the area of responsibility.
• Develop and execute compliant LDAR protocols and strategies. • Perform a variety of applicable data collection and evaluation techniques.
• Prepare reports of activities and maintain records as required by the company.
• Work often with complex analyzers, instrumentation, or equipment for gathering data and for optimizing system performance.
• Coordinate field inspections and repairs with upstream and midstream operations.
• Perform LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) in accordance with policies and procedures, following tasks at assigned natural gas/oil well sites, gathering lines, and compressor stations.
• Routine calibration, certification, and maintenance of analyzers (if applicable).
• Generate work requests and follow up on LDAR maintenance repairs.
• Assist with emission quantification and emission reduction projects as needed.
• Perform other daily operations and maintenance tasks of a routine nature.
• Must have experience in the operation of Gas Infrared Cameras.
• Certified in the use of Gas Infrared Cameras, or able to quickly obtain certification upon hire.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills.
• Previous experience working in oil and gas preferred.
• LDAR / Fugitive Emission Monitoring, OpGal or FLIR Camera, Method 21 with TVA 1000B and calibration experience a plus.
• Experience using RMLD devices and other leak detection technology is a plus
• Must have a valid Driver's License. Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
• Ability to perform work in adverse weather conditions in the field (Work in hot/cold environments, inclement weather)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Will be required to work at varying heights • Ability to climb ladders 10 ft.+, ascending/descending stairs up to ten flights or more in a day
