Landfill Laborer

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Landfill Laborer to join our team. In this vital role, you will support landfill operations through heavy equipment handling, waste management, and site maintenance. Your efforts will help ensure efficient waste disposal processes while maintaining safety standards and cleanliness across the site. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in heavy equipment operation within a dynamic industrial environment.

- Must have a Class A or B CDL

- Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, garbage trucks, and other equipment to manage waste materials efficiently.

- Assist with the loading and unloading of waste using appropriate machinery to ensure safe handling and transportation.

- Conduct site cleaning activities to maintain sanitation standards and prevent environmental hazards.

- Support waste sorting and compacting processes to optimize landfill space utilization.

- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.

- Assist with general site maintenance including debris removal, fencing checks, and ensuring clear pathways for safe operations.

- Follow all safety protocols diligently to promote a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues.

- Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or garbage trucks is highly preferred.

Pay: $26.26 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
