We have an exciting opportunity open for a Key Accounts Manager to work hybrid from Portland, ME.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Key Accounts Manager, you will effectively manage specific transportation and large commercial sales customers within the assigned territories of Summit Utilities Arkansas and Oklahoma in a manner that promotes the company’s goals and objectives and meets the needs of the large volume gas users.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Maintain a professional relationship with large volume customers and strive to provide the best customer service to meet their energy needs.
•Maintain awareness of competition and competitor offerings while ensuring the value of company’s offerings.
•Actively participate with Economic Development groups and projects, both state and local, to promote and encourage new growth opportunities for Summit and the State local economies where we operate.
•Assist with financial analysis of new growth projects by obtaining and organizing project details that are used to evaluate the construction cost and feasibility of new growth projects.
•Assist with the preparation of customer proposals such as contracts and invoices for contribution in aid of construction (CIAC).
•Serves as project manager in developing new large volume customers; monitors project workflow and serves as liaison between the transport team and the Summit Engineering, Construction, Billing, Legal, and Measurement teams to help ensure growth projects are prioritized in such a way that balances each customer’s project schedule and energy needs.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
•One (1) to three (3) years natural gas and/or electric distribution experience.
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
•Ability to learn and retain the knowledge needed for gas transportation, distribution, and pipeline services.
•Ability to learn and retain the knowledge needed for the applicable tariffs and rate schedules, and the regulatory rules in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
•Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to successfully interact with all sizes of businesses and across all industry sectors.
•Dedication to providing exemplary customer service.
•Self-sufficient with necessary skills to organize and complete multiple tasks in an efficient and effective manner.

•Ability to develop a strong understanding of the components and operation of a natural gas distribution system.
•Must exhibit the aptitude to become proficient in understanding the operation of natural gas transportation.
•Demonstrated success in consulting effectively with all levels of management, including executives.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
