Junior Design Engineer

- Work closely with the Project Engineering Team providing technical and design support to determine the best solutions to specific customer needs.

- Support new product line design and development.

- Prepare product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, industry standards, customer requirements and related specifications.

- Prepare necessary calculations required on new and existing products.

- Provide engineering production support to machining, welding, assembly and other departments.

- Provide technical support to field service, the customer, sales and manufacturing.

- Together with the Quality department, troubleshoot quality issues as it pertains to material rejects, material review, warrantee issues and custom engineering requirement.

- Develop, write and implement production procedures as it pertains to the support of engineering functions.

Preferred Candidates Will Possess a Combination Of The Following

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or technical institute

- Familiarity of wellhead equipment would be an asset

- Membership with APEGA or ASET or eligible to get membership

- Understanding of CADD drafting and drafting standards

- Knowledge of 3D Modeling and drafting in Pro-E

- Knowledge of SFI engineering standards

- Knowledge of ANSI, ASME and ISO drafting techniques and geometric tolerance

- Knowledge of all API/ISO product requirements

- Knowledge of basic stress analysis

- Knowledge of the development and control of design documentation

- General understanding of internal economic factors

- Experience with technical writing
