Journeyman / Apprentice HET

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman / Apprentice HET to join our team. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel- and gas-powered generators and associated systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience with large equipment and a strong understanding of power generation systems.

Responsibilities include:

- Perform diagnostic tests, preventative maintenance, and repairs on diesel/gas generators

- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems on power generation equipment

- Complete routine generator inspections and document findings

- Respond to field service calls and perform emergency repairs as needed

- Completing overhauls and routine equipment repair

- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams

- Maintain accurate service records and parts usage

- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards

Requirements include:

- A Journeyman Heavy-duty Mechanic or Registered Apprentice Heavy-duty Mechanic

- Strong knowledge of generator systems, electrical diagnostics, and load testing

- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Awareness to detail and accuracy

- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

- Safety tickets would be considered an asset
