Job Summary
The Information Technology (IT) Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and networks across the company. This will include but is not limited to implementing new workstations, CMMC / AS9100 / ISO9001 compliance, and software compatibility.
- Provide first-line technical support to employees via phone, email, or in-person
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and resolve software / hardware issues in a timely manner
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords in accordance with company policies
- Maintain and support local networks, VPNs, and internet connectivity
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliable operation
- Maintain an inventory of hardware and software resources
- Ensure data backups are performed and recover data when necessary
- Assist in IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and deployments
- Document technical issues and resolutions for future reference
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
- Familiarity with Windows and other common business software (Microsoft 365, etc.)
- Experience with networking (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP), firewalls, and VPNs
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to various objectives and execute in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or another related field
