This position conducts routine installation, maintenance, and operation of all analytical and process supporting equipment. - Understands safety procedures and safety mechanisms to ensure safety standards are met, maintained and optimized.
- During times of construction, retrofits, downtime, and other non-operating conditions, seeks to help team members achieve the timeliest, safest, and most cost-effective outcomes
- Applies common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions and applies critical thinking to standardized situations. Assembles, disassembles, and installs necessary analytical equipment and various products, as needed.
- Maintains analytical equipment, preparation equipment and sampling equipment, as necessary, to ensure adequate operation.
- Cleans, prepares, and repairs equipment prior to operation and/or post operation.
- Cleans and maintains all work areas on a regular basis to ensure smooth and proper flow during operation hours.
- Prepares data for reporting following established procedures.
- Performs arithmetic in various units of measure and computes rate, ratio and percentages.
- Detects deviations from acceptable criteria.
- Learns all machine operations to support analytical processes.
- Completes all other duties as assigned or required.
- Ability to work with common hand tools, power tools and operate various testing equipment.
- Ability to perform assignments without being micro-managed. Capable of critical thinking to streamline assignment completion.
- Ability to follow written policies and procedures to aid in analytical duties.
- Willingness to work on systems with unusual conditions such as harsh chemicals, high energy, or radioactive materials.
- Strong computer skills surrounding data entry and data reporting.
- Documentation and record keeping
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and be flexible with changing priorities.
- High school diploma or GED”
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug, background and fit test.
- Must be capable of working at elevated heights with proper PPE. Ladders and lifts.
