IT Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and networking. You will work closely with users to enhance their experience and maintain optimal system performance.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.

- Manage computer systems and ensure efficient operation of IT infrastructure.

- Troubleshoot software issues and perform installations, updates, and configurations as needed.

- Assist with desktop support tasks, including setup and maintenance of user workstations.

- Implement and manage VPN connections for remote access.

- Configure and maintain firewalls to ensure network security.

- Support computer networking tasks, including LAN setup and management.

- Utilize help desk tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira for ticket management and tracking.

- Communicate effectively with users to provide exceptional customer service and resolve technical problems promptly.

Skills

- Proficient in technical support and IT support practices.

- Strong knowledge of computer management and hardware components.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and their troubleshooting.

- Experience in computer networking concepts including LAN configurations.

- Understanding of VPN technologies and firewall configuration.

- Ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively across multiple platforms.

- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with users at all levels.

- Familiarity with IT infrastructure management best practices.
