Job Description:
We are looking for a tech-savvy and proactive IT Technician to support our office and construction teams with reliable and scalable technology solutions. The role will be responsible for maintaining company hardware inventory, setting up and troubleshooting devices, assisting with software and password changes, and working closely with our third-party IT service provider to ensure timely resolution of any major technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist in the setting up and support of IT systems at construction sites and main offices (e.g. internet, connectivity, laptops, tablets, and mobile hotspots).
•Set up and configure new devices, ensuring that they meet company standards and security requirements.
•Provide support and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
•Assist employees with software logins, password resets, and access permissions.
•Help optimize digital workflow between the field and office staff.
•Collaborate with our third-party IT provider to resolve complex or escalated issues.
•Document IT processes, resolutions, and inventory changes.
•Support construction project and office teams with software tools like HCSS HeavyJob, HeavyBid, Primavera P6, Trimble, and AutoCAD.
Minimum Requirements:
•Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
•Familiarity with Windows, iOS, and Android Systems.
•Understanding of basic networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
•Understanding of user access management, password tools, and software support.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•Eagerness to learn construction-specific technologies and environments.
•Ability to follow documentation and work independently under guidance.
•Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Familiarity with construction software.
•Exposure to working with external IT support vendors or service providers.
•Exposure to asset tracking or inventory systems.
•Familiarity with security practices such as multi-factor authentication and endpoint protection.
•Previous internship experience or hands-on technical support work.
•Understanding of cybersecurity basics in field operations.
