IT Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems, computer hardware, and networking concepts. The IT Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining high levels of customer service and satisfaction while troubleshooting software and hardware issues.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and networking issues.

- Manage computer systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.

- Troubleshoot software issues and perform necessary repairs or upgrades.

- Assist with VPN setup and management, ensuring secure remote access for users.

- Monitor and maintain firewalls to ensure network security.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve help desk tickets using tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira.

- Support desktop environments by configuring user accounts and managing local area networks (LAN).

- Maintain documentation of IT processes and procedures for future reference.

- Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide timely solutions.

Experience

- Proven experience in technical support or a related field is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of computer management practices and IT infrastructure.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is essential.

- Experience with computer networking concepts, including LAN configurations.

- Proficiency in troubleshooting both hardware and software issues across various operating systems.

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.86 - $31.14 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
