IT Systems Analyst

About This Job

Ohio's Electric Cooperatives is looking for an IT Systems Analyst who provides technical support for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of office computer systems, and the creation of business applications. Independently manages department projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•

Supports the secure management and operations of office computers and network systems.

•

Installs and maintains end user hardware and software for the office computer and phone systems. Tracks and inventories IT hardware assets and software licenses.

•

Troubleshoots and resolves issues with office computer hardware and software, audio and video systems, and phone systems. Responds to IT help desk support requests and uses the help desk ticketing system to track and manage support requests.

•

Creates and supports custom tools to facilitate business processes, including SharePoint sites, Power BI reports, web applications, spreadsheets, and database applications.

•

Creates documentation for IT systems, projects, and procedures.

•

Assists with client computer patching and vulnerability mitigation.

•

Assists with the administration and monitoring of IT systems. Reviews system alerts and supports incident response.

•

Assists with end-user education and training. Supports the communication and enforcement of corporate IT policies and procedures.

•

Proposes purchases and improvements to the office computer systems.

•

Follows corporate policies and procedures for proper systems configuration and operation.

•

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education: Associates degree in Computer Science or related computer technology field preferred. Exceptional experience over and above experience described below may be substituted for part of the educational requirement.

Experience:

•

Must have a minimum of one year of experience in PC hardware and software troubleshooting

•

Experience in a network environment is desirable

•

Relevant on-the-job experience or education over and above the requirement described above may be substituted for part of the experience requirement

Abilities & Skills Required:

•

Must have the ability to analyze and solve complex digital computer control and data processing problems

•

Must be able to work independently

•

Should have excellent oral and written communication skills

Physical Requirements

Travel up to approximately 10% of workdays, primarily within state. Work outside normal business hours will be necessary on a rotating basis; during such times a “24 hour on-call" status is required involving approximately 25% of non-working hours.
