Covington Water District has an opening for an IT Support Specialist Grade 1 who will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users and managing the district's various systems, services, and related technologies. This role includes delivering hardware and software technical support to end-users, assisting in the planning, coordination, implementation, maintenance, and operation of the district's network technologies, and will serve as the first point of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance. This position reports to the IT Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities. May be called upon to act in a leadership role in the event of an emergency or crisis if the IT Manager is unavailable.
Minimum Experience/Education: Requires associate’s degree in technology/computer science or related field and 1-3 years related experience administering voice/data networks and computer peripherals, or any equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Requires a valid Washington State driver’s license.
