Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: The IT Desktop Support Specialist will provide daily support of IT functions to all Divisions within Gebhart Holdings including but not limited to, hardware, software, peripherals, connectivity, licensing, security, cabling, and cellular/VOIP.
REPORTS TO: CHRO
SUPERVISES: N/A
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide assistance and troubleshooting for repair/service and request tickets in a timely manner, until resolved.
•Setting up and servicing peripheral equipment, such as printers and projectors.
•Installing new computers, operating systems and software.
•Providing users with training and information regarding the use of new systems.
•Escalating internal customer or technical issues with senior staff or management when necessary.
•Staying current with new industry trends, technology, and software developments.
•Run, install, and troubleshoot network cabling.
•Assisting Senior IT team with routine tasks.
•Assist with special projects as directed.
•Occasionally on call and/or work outside normal business hours may be required.
•Regular and timely attendance is an expectation of the position.
•Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
•Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
•Adequate industry experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
•Industry certifications are a plus but are not required.
COMPETENCIES:
•Proficiency with the following: Windows Desktop and Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Group Policy, Microsoft SharePoint/Office 365, IP networking and routing.
•Self-starter that takes initiative with a high attention to detail
•Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
•Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
•Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs.
•Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Involves sitting most of the time.
•Visual Acuity: ability to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, including to make general observations of facilities.
