The Support Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting the end-user computing environment, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related software. Additionally, this role is responsible for end point cybersecurity posture including tools, vulnerability management, and patch management. This mid-level role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and excellent customer service abilities.
· Manage and support the end-user computing environment. including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related software.
· Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices and applications.
· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
· Develop and implement end-user computing policies and best practices.
· Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
· Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of end-user devices.
· Provide technical support and training to end-users.
· Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents
· Assist in the implementation and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Support endpoint protection tools (antivirus, EDR, DLP) and ensure devices are compliant.
· Conduct regular vulnerability scans and assist in remediation efforts.
· Educate users on cybersecurity awareness and safe computing practices.
· Participate in audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives (e.g., ISO, NIST, HIPAA)
· Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement improvements.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
· 4+ years of experience managing Windows workstations in an enterprise environment
· Expertise in Microsoft Intune including configuration, deployment, and monitoring
· Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) including software deployment and asset management
· Strong understanding of Windows operating systems including Windows 11
· Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell
· Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associated preferred
· Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible, and team-oriented environment
· Ability to work calmly and constructively under pressure and meet deadlines; the ability to manage and keep track of multiple tasks simultaneously
· Ability to adjust to changing situations to meet emergencies, program changes or production requirements.
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated ability to communicate technology concepts to non-technology personnel
