Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology

Ready to take your skills beyond the classroom? Bruce Power is offering 4- or 8-month co-op terms starting May 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

College co-op students are placed in various roles across the Operations and Maintenance divisions. You will work alongside experienced a team of Nuclear Operators and/or Shift Control Technicians and/or Industrial Millwrights.

Must be willing to work under the following conditions:

- Exposure to ionizing radiation, requiring the use of appropriate protective equipment and clothing (e.g. fully enclosed, air supplied plastics suit).

- Industrial setting (indoors & outdoors), requiring the use of appropriate protective equipment and clothing (e.g. hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, respirator, gloves, safety footwear).

- Heights, vertical ladders, slotted gratings, cramped spaces, confined spaces, noise, extreme temperatures and strong odours.

Skills and Knowledge:

- Aptitude for technical learning and ability to transfer technical knowledge to practical applications.

- Proven ability to focus on a broad range of activities, prioritize effectively and see tasks and assignments through to completion.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to succeed in a team-based environment.

- This role requires the individual to be able to physically use climbing equipment, work in constricted spaces and wear safety equipment including helmets, breathing apparatus and safety harnesses.

Education and Experience:

- Currently enrolled in one of the following diploma programs- Instrumentation Control or Engineering Technology.

- Must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program as listed above.

- Must have completed a minimum of one year post-secondary studies.

- Must be returning full-time immediately following the work term to post-secondary studies or require a coop term to graduate.
