We are currently recruiting for an Inside Technical Sales Representative to join our team of dedicated professionals in Saint John, New Brunswick to support the sales team.
Reporting to the Atlantic Manager, the Inside Technical Sales Representative will work closely with the sales team to provide a high level of support to the established customer base while working diligently towards nurturing new business relationships within the industrial segment. The successful candidate will have the help of an enthusiastic sales and marketing team to assist with building both organic and inorganic sales in the relevant market areas.
• Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information, and quote preparation.
• Continuously nurture customer relations by answering the telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries, verifying, and entering customer-related data into the CRM, while escalating and monitoring issues when necessary.
• Administrate sales orders by entering orders, controlling inventory, transferring orders to fulfillment and communicating the expected delivery date.
• Support the outside sales team by preparing quotations and following up with customers for further clarification.
• Work closely with outside sales to troubleshoot problems and find solutions to serve customers’ needs.
• Develop leads and sale opportunities by checking customers’ buying history, suggesting related products, and providing technical information.
• Maintain and improve quality results by following standards, recommending improved policies and procedures.
• Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions, participating in training sessions, and educational opportunities.
• Continually assessing competitors, trends, and identifying sales opportunities that leverage the large pool of product and solutions experience.
• Inventory control, shipping, receiving, and product assembly and testing.
As the ideal candidate, you possess three years of inside sales experience selling industrial products such as valves, digital/analog instrumentation, and other industrial process specialties. Experience in selling/supporting valves or other engineering products is a must.
A Technical/Engineering diploma/degree from a recognized institution would be a definite asset.
Organized and detail-oriented, you provide a high degree of commitment to service excellence. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you possess strong business acumen and are highly analytical by nature. Intermediate computer proficiency with MS Office Suite is required. Related post secondary education will be preferred.
