Job Expectations and Primary Duties: Pricing
1. The salesperson negotiates prices with customers to maximize profitability and to increase market share as per the marketing strategy/plan. This includes preparing price quotes in a timely manner and entering orders as per the customer expectations.
2. The salesperson must review all applicable data from other departments to determine proper pricing and delivery issues. This includes information from the credit, purchasing, operations, processing, and transportation departments.
Product/Process1. The salesperson must be knowledgeable in all products/processes of the company to ensure the company is maximizing profitability and to assist in the needs of the customer. This includes analyzing company products the company should offer in general to meet customer demands/expectations or match competitor products. The salesperson will advise top management regarding territories and distribution areas for
increase sales growth.
2. The salesperson follows the applicable process and/or procedures to ensure the customer expectations are communicated effectively throughout the organization.
