In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, cultivate new business opportunities, and develop strong relationships with key decision-makers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for delivering exceptional service while achieving ambitious sales goals.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within target markets
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Take ownership of your book of business within an assigned territory
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate quotes and high customer satisfaction
- Solicit vendor pricing as needed for quoting
- Communicate professionally and effectively with all stakeholders
- Sales experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Collaborative, dependable, and goal-driven
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in math (including decimals, fractions, geometry/trigonometry)
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of the steel/metal industry a plus
