The Opportunity

We are currently looking to add an aspiring It Manager with a problem-solving mindset in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Director, Development, the successful candidate will lead management of IT infrastructure across on premise systems and Azure cloud, ensuring scalability, performance and cost efficiency.

What you’ll do

•

Lead the management of IT infrastructure across on-premises systems and Azure cloud, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

•

Manage Microsoft 365 environment, including administration, user access, security, and troubleshooting.

•

Manage and mentor an IT staff member, providing technical development and task delegation.

•

Own relationships with IT vendors, handling contracts for hardware, software, cloud services, and outsourced support.

•

Coordinate software deployment and patching, and manage onboarding/offboarding processes.

•

Manage Microsoft 365 administration, Azure infrastructure, and Windows Server environments.

What you bring

•

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Azure infrastructure, and Windows Server environments.

•

Experience in information technology space and solving various software and hardware problems

•

A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans

•

Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols

•

Ability to adapt to new environments and changing requirements

•

An outgoing person with the ability to consult and provide opinion, facilitate discussion, and resolve conflict, ensuring the most efficient and effective solution is provided.

Minimum Qualifications

•

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required

•

3-5 years of cloud, database, network administration, or system administration experience

•

Strong leadership skills
