Location: Exshaw, Alberta Position Type: Full-Time Department: Maintenance

About the Role

Baymag Inc., an industrial mineral company specializing in the production of Magnesium Oxide, is seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Millwright to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to support safe and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment and mechanical systems.

- Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify root causes with minimal downtime.

- Install, align, and commission new machinery and components.

- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.

- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability.

- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.

- Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and company policies.

- Occasionally perform other duties as required.

Shift Details

- 40-hour work week

- 10-hour rotating shifts which include holidays weekends and nights.

- Rotating on-call requirement as part of the maintenance schedule

Required Qualifications

- Valid Industrial Millwright Trade Certification (Alberta or Interprovincial).

- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.

- Valid driver’s licence.

- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting ability.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Comfortable working in industrial environments, including heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.

Preferred Assets

- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and rotating equipment.

- Welding or fabrication experience.

- Knowledge of CMMS systems for work orders and maintenance planning.
