Summary:
Install, repair, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers, electrical systems, apparatus, electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. Repair, maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES include to following. Uses hand tools, power tools and testing instruments for repairs and maintenance of machinery and equipment. Make use of rules, calipers and micrometers to inspect used parts for any changes in dimensions. Start machinery to test performance. Cleans and lubricates machinery parts.
•Practice safe working habits and follow safety procedures, policy and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
•Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality and ISO 9001:2008.
•A broad knowledge of mechanics (hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical) and be capable of working from machine design drawings, specifications and maintenance instructions.
•The ability to perform skilled operations such as fitting and aligning bearings, spindles, shafts, and scrape ways.
•Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus.
•Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components and mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
•Plan and implement hook up of equipment to National Electrical code requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
•Ability to lift and carry 75 lb.
•Must work outside in all weather.
•Ability to work from aerial buckets and in confined spaces.
•May be required to adjust weekly schedule in order to meet departmental needs.
•Willing to work overtime and off-shift as needed and be available for weekend call-in rotation schedule.
•Knowledge of the use of scales, squares, micrometers, calipers, indicators, levels, verniers, parallels, etc.
•Must be able to trouble shoot machinery or mechanical equipment and make decisions on how to repair. Insures that all safety procedures are followed. Adjust functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
•Knowledge of welding technology, arc/gas as well as filling propane bottles is required.
•Able to complete structural building maintenance, repair and erection including concrete work.
•Able to operate heavy equipment.
•Plan TPM and schedule TPM of electrical equipment
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
•A team player by supporting fellow partners
•Broad knowledge of mechanics and electrical.
•Capable of operating plant and maintenance equipment.
•Knowledge of welding and powder coat processes.
•Able to climb and work at any height.
•Work with Safety Department in bringing equipment up to OSHA requirements
•Other duties may be assigned.
