Maintenance Mechanic - Full – Time 2nd SHIFT
This position is responsible for completing various projects. Applies knowledge of welding, fabrication, electrical and mechanical principles to support manufacturing and maintenance functions.
Uses various welding techniques (Mig, Arc, etc.) and metal machining (lathe, mill, drill press, etc.) for fabrication and repair purposes.
Interpret prints, drawings, plans, or job write-ups to complete projects.
Performs various 5S duties and preventive maintenance as scheduled or needed.
Responsible for following all safety requirements to ensure the safety of all team members.
Experience with electrical circuits up to 480V-3 phase, Electrical troubleshooting from systems to component level.
Minium of 3 years of proven experience in industrial maintenance is required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency.
Must have a high mechanical aptitude and be able to use various mechanical hand and power tools and equipment.
Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel and be able to communicate with operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience with a lift truck and other industrial material handling equipment.
High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.
Advanced knowledge of industrial electrical applications and troubleshooting, preferred but not required.
Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.) and wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and other materials.
Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
Other duties as assigned to support business needs.
EDUCATION - High school diploma or its equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE
Minium of 3 years of proven experience in the welding, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields are required. Experience in high volume manufacturing.
Preferred – Associates degree in engineering, electrical or manufacturing
COMPUTER SKILLS - Ability to operate computerized equipment is required.
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES Certificates- welding and fabrication, preferred, but not required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Solid work history and willingness to successfully function in a team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is required to work in manufacturing environment facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee maybe exposed to moving parts, hazardous chemicals and the risk of electrical shock. The employee may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat /cold. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
