Industrial Maintenance Mechanic III

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic III performs preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency maintenance on all production related equipment in the steel fabrication and assembly industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Understand and comply with workplace safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area.

· Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, smells, and conduct troubleshooting and testing as appropriate.

· Perform routine preventative maintenance and service for equipment.

· Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics.

· Identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.

· Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals accurately.

· Work cooperatively with other staff, equipment operators and leadership.

· Participate in departmental, safety, and production meetings as necessary.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Prefer 3 to 7 years’ experience working in an industrial environment and preferably metal fabrication and experience with conveyors, presses, punch presses, turret punch machines, laser cutting equipment, shears, de-coilers and straighteners, automated drilling machines, welders, robotic systems, and hoist systems.

· Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience.

· Experienced in working with hand tools and power tools.

· Ability to read, interpret, manuals, schematics, and prints.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time and have physical requirements to regularly climb ladders and stairs, walking, kneeling, standing, squatting, twisting and bending for long periods of time.

· Must be dependable and reliable and available to work overtime as needed.

· Works well with machine operators, maintenance team and leadership.

First Shift Responsibility 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM M-F

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00 per hour
