The Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).
Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Indigenous Relations Supervisor, you will be part of the Indigenous Relations department. The Indigenous Relations Counsellor role at Agnico Eagle is primarily focused on providing administrative, reporting, and project management support for Indigenous and community relations efforts and initiatives. You will be responsible for data entry and reporting activities using tools such as Borealis, as well as supporting Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) tracking, training initiatives, and engagement documentation.
Your sense of creativity will also be valuable in producing clear, engaging documents, reports, presentations, and visual materials, and in supporting cultural activities and communications.
Specifically, You Will
Reporting, Data Management & Tracking
- Produce high-quality reports and documents while ensuring written, visual, and design consistency.
- Ensure all relevant data is collected and compiled for initiatives such as CCIB audits, TSM audits, Sustainable Development reporting, Reconciliation Action Plan reporting, and Corporate performance indicators.
- Track Agnico Eagle’s Reconciliation Action Plan progress and support the development of annual reports.
- Maintain accurate records of corporate Indigenous Relations engagement activities in Borealis.
- Support the integration, standardization, and continuous improvement of Borealis usage and related reporting systems.
- Assist in building or improving internal tools, dashboards, trackers, and organizational systems that support monitoring and reporting.
- Support the planning, organization, execution, and monitoring of Indigenous Relations programs, initiatives, and multi-departmental projects.
- Maintain project trackers, timelines, action logs, and risk indicators.
- Provide coordination support across departments to ensure deliverables stay on track.
- Contribute research and analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making within the Indigenous Relations team.
- Assist in creating clear, visually engaging content for internal and external communications, including newsletters, presentations, and materials related to cultural events or awareness days.
- Use creativity and graphic design skills to develop visuals, templates, infographics, and culturally aligned communication materials.
- Support the Indigenous Relations Coordinator with logistical planning for events related to Indigenous relations (Truth and Reconciliation Day, MMIWG2S+ Day, Indigenous Peoples Day, conferences, ceremonies, etc.).- Support cultural programming and events to ensure they are inclusive, respectful, engaging, and impactful.
- University degree in Indigenous Studies, Administration, Communications, Social Sciences, or another related field.
- Experience in Indigenous relations, community engagement, or a related field, and mining industry experience is an asset.
- Strong project management abilities, including organization, planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Excellent writing skills for notices, agendas, activity reports, and other documents.
- Demonstrated ability to design and produce visually appealing presentations and documents; graphic design skills are an asset.
- Demonstrated good time management and personal organizational skills.
- Ability to work with reporting tools, databases, and tracking systems (e.g., Borealis); interest in developing and improving such systems.

- Proficiency in English. Proficiency in French and Indigenous languages is an asset.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.
- Workplace: Working from one of Agnico Eagle’s offices (Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d’Or, Mirabel, Timmins, Kirkland Lake), with preference to the Toronto Head Office. There is a possibility to have a hybrid work schedule, working some days from an Agnico Eagle office and some days in telecommuting.
- Travel to Agnico Eagle offices, mine sites, and communities is expected.
