Contech Control Services seeks team-oriented professionals with Instrument & Electrical Drafting knowledge related to Control Systems Projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The I&E Drafter performs a wide range of duties which include some or all the following:

•

Working under the supervision of the Design Lead for the delivery of large complex projects. This includes new installations and modifications to existing systems

•

Produce and/or revise instrument or electrical plans, building layouts, cable block diagrams, wiring diagrams, instrument or electrical installation details, junction boxes, control panel fabrication, loop diagrams, panel schedules, one-line diagrams, motor schematics, network architecture, fiber installations, conduit penetrations, and P&IDs

•

Loop folder development

•

Basic Knowledge of NEC and applicable industry standards

•

Participate in cable sizing and conduit sizing

•

Input data into the Instrument Index or cable schedule using Excel or Access

•

Participate in quality checks

•

Participate in field surveys, travel may be local or to other locations within the U.S.

•

Participate in plant turnarounds and assist with startup

•

Accurately report design activities to the design lead

•

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

The Instrument & Electrical Drafter requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

•

Associate degree in Instrumentation Technology, Electrical Power & Controls, Computer Drafting and Design, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience

•

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation

•

I&E Drafting experience is required

•

Structural & Heat Trace Drafting experience is a plus

•

Experience working in the Oil and Gas industry

•

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)

•

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Working conditions are as follows:

•

Position Type: Full Time

•

Standard Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30pm

•

Overtime: Occasionally at 1.5 payrate

•

Permanent

•

Travel: Up to 25%
