Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facility and Pipeline Drafter to join our dedicated team in the Oil and Gas Industry. The Drafter will play a vital role in translating engineering designs and concepts into accurate and precise technical drawings for facilities and pipelines. This position requires proficiency in drafting software, a strong understanding of industry standards, and a commitment to delivering high-quality design documentation.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:
Technical Drawing:
•Create detailed and accurate technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and plans for oil and gas facilities, pipelines, well sites, equipment, and infrastructure.
•Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to transform engineering concepts into comprehensive visual representations. Reads and understands engineering drawings.
•Has an ability to reproduce or copy P&IDs and pull the necessary data to transfer to equipment & piping design utilizing standard design techniques.
Facility and Pipeline Design:
•Work closely with engineers to interpret and implement design specifications, ensuring drawings comply with industry codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
•Develop 2D and 3D drawings that accurately reflect facility layouts, equipment placement, piping systems, and structural elements.
Drafting Software and Tools:
•Utilize AutoDesk, AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD Plant 3D software and drafting tools proficiently to produce drawings and schematics.
•Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of drafting software updates and enhancements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Documentation Management:
•Organize and manage drawing files, documentation, and records in a structured and accessible manner.
•Ensure that revisions and updates to drawings are accurately documented and tracked.
Quality Control:
•Perform quality checks on drafted drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design standards before submission for review.
Collaboration and Communication:
•Communicate effectively with engineering teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to clarify design requirements and resolve technical issues.
Continuous Improvement:
•Identify opportunities for process improvement in drafting workflows and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Experience and Certifications:
•Associate degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Bachelor's degree is a plus.
•1-3 years of experience in drafting roles within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on facilities and pipelines preferred.
•Proficiency in Autodesk, AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Plaint Software, and similar tools.
•Solid understanding of oil and gas industry codes, regulations, and safety standards.
•Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
•Knowledge of 3D modeling software is advantageous.
•Knowledge of petroleum or liquid pipeline products or petroleum related facilities required.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This is an office job. Light travel may be required. Some ability to work remote.
Work Hours and Schedule:
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday – Friday; 9am-5pm. Schedule and hours may vary based on business needs.
