POSITION SUMMARY:The HVAC Service Sales Manager is responsible for both generating HVAC service and equipment sales and leading the service sales team to achieve departmental growth targets. This individual will oversee daily operations within the HVAC service sales department, coach and develop team members, and be held accountable to a personal and team-wide sales quota. This role requires a strategic thinker with proven sales success and leadership experience in the commercial and/or industrial HVAC industry.

Sales Responsibilities
•Develop and maintain client relationships through networking, prospecting, and client site visits (including safe rooftop access when required).
•Identify and secure opportunities for service agreements, equipment replacements, temperature control solutions, refrigeration systems, and retrofit projects.
•Generate and respond to leads through cold calling, referrals, and internal sources.
•Prepare and present proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales to meet/exceed assigned sales goals.
•Maintain strong customer satisfaction through quality assurance visits and prompt service follow-up.
•Stay informed of market trends, competitor activities, and industry changes.
Managerial Responsibilities
•Lead, support, and mentor a team of service sales representatives to achieve individual and departmental revenue goals.
•Set clear sales expectations, provide performance feedback, and conduct regular team meetings and one-on-ones.
•Collaborate with the Service Technician Manager and executive leadership to align departmental strategies with company objectives.
•Track and report on team KPIs and sales pipeline activity using in-house software (e.g., Jonas).
•Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of service sales personnel.
•Support quoting strategy and pricing consistency across the team.
•Ensure sales documentation, CRM updates, and reporting are completed accurately and on time.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
•Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the commercial/industrial HVAC industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
•Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a sales team while maintaining personal sales performance.
•Solid understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specs.
•Skilled in negotiating, presenting technical solutions, and managing complex sales cycles.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, smartphones, and project management tools.
•Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
•Self-driven, accountable, and able to adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
•Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and safely access construction job sites.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to typical office conditions and standard office equipment such as telephones, computers, printers, copiers, reports, and files. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, and use hands to type or write. The employee may occasionally bend or squat and lift or push up to 10 pounds of general office materials. Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, at a distance, and across a field of vision, with frequent need to visually scan between computer screens and documentation.
