•Ensuring all HSE Management System documentation is kept up-to-date and for ensuring policies and practices are adopted
•Assist in planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing all aspects of the HSE management system Ensures that the company Management System certification remains operational
•Supports the organization’s aim to avoid operational losses, minimize brand protection issues and to assure continued process capability to its clients
•Assists with the management of suppliers’ performance and be involved in project feedback
•Maintains HSE performance databases in accordance with company requirements.
•Assists with preparation for and attends Management Review meetings
•Conducts system, supplier and site-based audits, close out audit findings, creating audit reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions, through Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
•Propose changes to working practices that are safe and add to an improved Company HSE performance Keeps up to date with new developments and maintain a working knowledge of the latest HSE related techniques and developments
•Supports continual improvement initiatives
•Develop Safety and Environmental activities.
•Provide supervision with current audits of any nonconformance issues
•Assure that all craft activities are conducted in accordance with OSHA regulations and Owner Safety Policies. Conduct and participate in weekly and monthly safety meetings. Maintain high visibility in the overall safety process
•Coordinate with production representatives, Customer Coordinators, and other safety contacts to assure continuity and a safe work environment
•Assist in determining training needs within the crafts
•Procures PPE and other HSE related items
•Maintains contact with PPE/Training providers
•Maintains document control and records registry
•Communicates regular safety moments
•Supply monthly incident and headcount reporting information
•Report HSE incidents and track to closure
•Supports level 1 and 2 incident investigations at the direction of the HSE Manager and the relevant Operations Manager
•Minimum experience of 8 years in the industry as a craft person, supervisor or one year HSE experience.
•Must have thorough knowledge of the industry scopes – mechanical, civil, industrial electrical or instrumentation, as required
Knowledge, skills and experience:
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft office to include Excel
•Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
•Confident self-starter who can work independently
•Experience of working in and managing an HSE Management system environment
•Knowledge of internal, external and third party certification audits.
•Knowledge of HSE standards and legal requirements
