· Week 2: Equipment Training and Shadowing

o Introduced to equipment around the yard and on job sites

o Go over DriFlow, DFX, PTs, Tractors, ISOs, Vac trailers, & Generators

o Time spent shadowing various areas of the company:


1. Facilities Operators


2. Drivers


3. DriFlow Operators

· Week 3: Time spent in Lafayette to shadow the Remote Operations Center (ROC), as well as engineering and fabrication facilities

· Week 4: shadowing Director HSE to visit all locations


Job Responsibilities

Provides direct field support regarding occupational HSE topics and safety leadership to assigned work groups
Facilitates effective leadership of and participation in the Safe Work program by employees and supervisors
Helps employees and supervisors effectively understand and apply all of DCS’s HSE policies and procedures
Facilitates HSE-related team meetings at times and other activities to ensure a safe transition between work shifts
Identifies and intervenes to resolve at-risk behavior among people who plan, perform, or supervise work activity
Ensures broad participation in the reporting of hazards in the workplace and in the field
Ensures DCS’s safety strategies are followed to continuously improve early identification and resolution of hazards
Enforces risk assessment and control expectations, supports energy isolation
Maintains an emergency response plan, ensures that everyone understands and can perform emergency actions
Responds to unplanned HSE events as directed to control hazards, safeguard employees, and initiate reporting
Supports incident investigations. Gathers initial data, develops reports, and performs data entry.
Ensures full accountability and employee adherence to company standards, policies, and processes
Maintains Right-To-Know library which hosts Safety Data Sheet references per Hazard Communication Policy
Performs routine facility and worksite inspections to effectively identify and resolve hazards, manages corrective actions
Efficiently develops and distributes a variety of HSE reports as directed with attention to detail
Meets all new hires during safety orientation and participates in the classes to offer safety influence
Reports instances of HSE non-conformance to Operations Management
Leads focused prevention efforts to avoid incidents related to people, environment, transportation, fire, or weather

· Communicate with Director HSE, managers, and the remote ops center on any incidents or safety concerns


Expectations

· Regular, frequent communication with Director HSE, Operations, and engineering managers

· Visit and audit field locations in all basins by spending 3-5 days in each basin. These visits will be conducted every other week.

· Conduct facility checks when you are in the basin and conduct one facility audit per quarter

· Update appropriate Teams chats with the status of any HSE incidents, concerns, or findings

· Able to organize and present safety meeting topics when at shop locations

· Able to advise employees concerning safe work planning and execution


· Facilitate some HSE Training

· Motivate and inspire DCS employees to continually improve the safe execution of duties

· Coach employees in the field in safety and effectively build our safety culture

· Continually develop Leadership skills and education in the safety field

· Proficient in Microsoft programs, Word, and Excel

· Excel in the general application of software


General Requirements

· Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements as defined by OSHA and other regulatory bodies.

· Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time

· Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

· Self-motivated, able to work autonomously alongside field personnel, technicians, & engineers


Schedule & Structure


Schedule:


· Monday through Friday

o Individual schedule adjustments/time off to be approved by Director HSE

o After-hours issues may interfere with the regular schedule and must be addressed depending on priority

Time Off Requests & Expectations:

· HSE Specialists are allotted 40 hours of PTO per year. Any PTO can only be applied to timesheets that already have less than 40 regular working hours, and cannot exceed 40 total hours in one week

· All time off requests require approval via email from Director HSE. Management is required to communicate with the employee within 48 hrs. of the request, to either approve, decline, or request more information.

o Time off should be requested via email request

· A minimum of 2 weeks’ notice is required before approval of time off requests.

· compensation: $50,000 - $80,000 depending on level of experience
