Job Overview
CRC Evans is seeking an HSE Specialist that will be responsible for supporting the QHSE Director in developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental initiatives across the NA Region. The role will also be responsible for developing and controlling HSE documentation to support compliance requirements for office and project activities.
Duties
•Support the Americas QHSE Director in developing and implementing the regional QHSE strategy, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and preparing regular performance reports for senior management.
•Maintain an accurate Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E), monitor for issues, and ensure all findings are included in the Plan of Action.
•Lead the local first aid team and manage emergency response in alignment with the emergency response plan; plan and monitor regular drills and training exercises across the Americas Region.
•Follow up on environmental requirements and assist in developing and implementing environmental management programs to reduce environmental impact.
•Monitor environmental performance and recommend improvements aligned with CRC Evans' sustainability goals.
•Promote a strong safety culture and reinforce a zero-tolerance approach to non-compliance with QHSE guidelines.
•Assist in the development and implementation of Operational Risk Management Plans.
•Support operational leaders in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis is conducted.
•Monitor, review, and ensure sustainability of corrective and preventive actions, and analyze incident data to identify trends and drive improvement plans.
•Assist the commercial team with QHSE documentation for tenders and support the Business Systems Manager in maintaining and improving regional Business Management Systems.
Requirements
•OSHA 30 Hour, TEEX CSHO, NCCER Site Safety Supervisor certificate or equivalent
•Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification or equivalent
•3+ years relevant industry experience (Manufacturing/Engineering/Oil & Gas)
•Knowledge of applicable HSE legislation (in US: OSHA, EPA, and state requirements, in Canada: CCOHS, Alberta OHS/COR, and British Columbia Work Safe requirements)
•Internal auditor training in accordance with ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001 is desirable
Skills & Knowledge Required:
•Sound working knowledge of Environmental and Health and Safety Legislation (in US: OSHA, EPA, and state requirements, in Canada: CCOHS, Alberta OHS/COR, and British Columbia Work Safe requirements)
•Intelligent thinker, focused and priority driven
•Strong motivation to achieve, well ordered and structured approach
•Excellent personal negotiation skills with the ability to interact with peers and Leaders
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internal and external to CRC Evans
•Experience with Microsoft Office Packages
•Ability to work alone or as a team member

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
