HR TRAINING SPECIALIST
Reports to: HR Assistant Manager
Location: Dalton, GA
Classification: Salary Exempt
SUMMARY
HR Training Specialist will be responsible for site-wide development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training plans and programs complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources such as online modules and guides. The ideal candidate will be a confident public speaker and a devoted educator who is up to date on the latest tools and resources needed to improve employee training and performance. Training Specialist will also be responsible for researching and selecting the best platform to deliver and utilize training materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Develop a schedule to assess training needs
•Conduct employee surveys and interviews
•Consult with managers, and leadership
•Track and compile collected data
•Conceptualize training materials based on data and research
•Communicate training needs and online resources
•Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials
•Contact and utilize outside vendors and resources for instructional technology
•Test and review created materials
•Maintain a database of all training materials
•Instruct employee training and onboarding
•Conduct training through new materials
•Review employee performance and learning
•Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, costs, and equipment
•Maintain and preserve training related documents
•Conduct massive data collection and transfer electronic files
•Oversees and maintains optimal function of organization's HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules
•Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
•Collaborates with executive leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
•Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
•Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
•Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
•Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
•Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
•Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Human Resources, Business or related field
•Two (2) years’ previous experience as a trainer, manufacturing trainer, or related position
•Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
•Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms
•Knowledge of HRIS business process configurations
•Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product
•Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
•Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects
•Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
•Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
•Certification from talent and training associations a plus
