We're currently looking for a reliable and proactive HR & Safety Coordinator to join our team and handle both roles efficiently. This role is vital in maintaining compliance with safety regulations and preventing workplace accidents. Prior experience in manufacturing environments and a background in training & development are highly valued.
- Manage and maintain safety compliance programs (ISN, ComplyWorks, etc.)
- Monitor, update, and maintain employee training records and certifications
- Provide HR support: onboarding, documentation, time sheets, policy enforcement, etc
- Respond promptly to incidents and assist with investigations and reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation using Excel and other computer tools
- Be available by phone when incidents occur – we need someone dependable
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the facility to identify potential hazards
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead safety training sessions for new and existing employees to promote best practices
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports
- Stay updated on the latest safety regulations and ensure company compliance at all times
- Promote a culture of continuous safety improvement through ongoing communication and engagement
- Must have oilfield experience and a clear understanding of field operations and safety requirements
- Strong working knowledge of ISN, ComplyWorks, and industry safety compliance practices
- Solid experience with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to field locations
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with field and office staff
- Previous HR and/or safety coordination experience strongly preferred
- Excellent training & development skills to educate staff effectively on safety protocols
- Strong analytical skills for hazard identification and risk assessment
- Effective communication skills to convey safety policies clearly across all levels of the organization
- Ability to develop engaging training programs tailored to diverse employee groups
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to maintain comprehensive records
