Foraco is a leading contract drilling services company, specializing in surface and underground core and reverse circulation drilling, production blast hole and service hole drilling, and raise drill and blast operations. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team and support our workforce in Salt Lake City.
We are looking for an HR Generalist to handle a variety of human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist with job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs
- Maintain and update job descriptions as needed
- Employee Relations & Compliance
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
- Assist in investigations and recommend solutions to workplace concerns
- Benefits & Payroll Administration
- Manage employee benefits enrollment and answer benefits-related questions
- Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of timekeeping records
- Handle leave management (FMLA, PTO, Workers' Comp, etc.)
- HR Policies & Performance Management
- Implement and maintain company policies, ensuring adherence to employment laws
- Assist in conducting performance evaluations and employee training programs
- Support initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention
- HR Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems
- Generate reports related to HR metrics, turnover, and compliance requirements
- Support safety initiatives and ensure workplace compliance with OSHA standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 2+ years of HR experience in a generalist role or related HR function- Experience in construction, mining, drilling, or industrial sectors (a plus)
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, policies, and best practices
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (preferred but not required)
