Human Resources Generalist
Mechanical Systems Company LLC is a fully licensed Mechanical and Plumbing contractor serving commercial and industrial clients through high-quality design-build, negotiated, and plan/spec projects. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support the day-to-day human resources functions for our growing team. This role is essential to ensuring smooth HR operations, supporting employee engagement, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 yearly, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
•Support day-to-day HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance
•Administer and support employee benefits enrollment, changes, and questions
•Assist with weekly payroll processing and employee time tracking
•Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and communicated effectively
•Coordinate training and development initiatives and track certifications
•Assist in recruitment efforts, such as interviewing and onboarding new hires
•Maintain employee files in accordance with legal requirements and company policies
•Support employee relations by responding to routine inquiries and assisting with issue resolution
•Track and report on HR metrics as necessary
•Collaborate with management to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Required Qualifications:
•3+ years of experience in human resources (generalist, HR manager, or similar role)
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field is preferred
•SHRM certification is a plus
•Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
•Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelOutlook systems
•Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
•Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
•Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity
•Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset
