Position Summary
The HR Director is responsible for designing, executing, and evolving our compensation, benefits, and recognition programs. This role will ensure our total rewards strategy supports the company’s growth, attracts top talent, promotes equity, and aligns with our business objectives.
Position Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Execution
•Lead the implementation of compensation frameworks (base, variable, equity where applicable) that support high growth and reward high performance.
•Manage annual compensation review cycles, including merit, bonus, and promotions.
•Conduct market benchmarking, job leveling, and pay equity analyses to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
•Partner with finance on compensation modeling and forecasting.
Benefits & Wellness
•Oversee the design and administration of benefit programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
•Evaluate current offerings and recommend enhancements to align with employee needs and company growth.
•Lead annual benefits renewal, open enrollment, and vendor management.
•Serve as the main point of contact for employee benefits questions, enrollment changes, and life event processing.
•Manage FMLA, STD, and other leave of absence programs, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing.
•Ensures the organization’s plans compliance with the applicable provisions of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
Recognition & Rewards
•Build scalable employee recognition programs that reinforce culture and engagement.
•Support the design of incentive programs aligned to team and company-level goals.
Leadership & Partnership
•Advise senior leaders and HR business partners on compensation and benefits-related decisions.
•Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Systems & Reporting
•Optimize the use of HR systems (e.g., HRIS, compensation tools, benefits platforms) to enable reporting, automation, and analytics.
•Deliver compelling insights through dashboards and data visualizations to inform decisions.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
•7+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
•Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; private company or startup experience preferred.
•Deep knowledge of compensation frameworks, job leveling, benchmarking, and pay equity.
•Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits.
•Strategic thinker who can build and scale programs while remaining hands-on.
•Excellent communication with the ability to influence across all levels.
•Analytical mindset with strong Excel skills.
•US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
•Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications
•Experience with international benefits is a plus.
•Experience with compensation tools and platforms.
•Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or related certifications preferred.
