JOB TITLE: IT Help Desk Tech Support I
REPORTS TO: IT Corporate Communication Systems Manager
LOCATION: 19772 Pauling, Foothill Ranch, CA 92610 (100% onsite)
Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of power testing instruments and systems including programmable AC Power Source and DC Power Supplies, AC loads and DC Electronic Loads, Digital Power Meters and Automated Testing Systems for applications in LED Lighting, Led Drivers, Aerospace, Defense, Military, Automotive, Medical, Battery, Solar, Marine, and Regulatory Testing purposes.
The Help Desk Support Technician plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations by serving as the first line of support for users and their devices. The ideal candidate approaches each challenge with curiosity and resourcefulness, understanding that many issues require creative problem-solving beyond a textbook answer. From preparing new systems to repurposing or recycling older equipment, the technician helps maximize efficiency and reliability across the organization’s IT environment. This role offers the opportunity to build technical expertise, contribute directly to user satisfaction, and grow into more advanced IT responsibilities over time.
- Desktop and local software support
- PC and printer maintenance
- Basic user account function with active directory
- Creates login and password information for a number of systems
- Determine if new PC is needed, prepare PC’s, re-purpose or recycle old PC’s accordingly
- Education: High School Diploma is required
- 1-2 years of previous experience working as an IT Help Desk Technician or similar role is preferred
- In depth knowledge of computer systems and printers is strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues
- Experience with Sage CRM/MAS, Exchange 2016, VPN/RemoteApps, VMWare, or VLANs is a plus
- Good written and oral communication skills is required
- General office skills and dexterity are required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
