We’re looking for an IT Help Desk Specialist to support our nationwide workforce. Based out of one of our core offices, this role will provide both remote and on-site technical support across multiple systems and devices. You'll be key in maintaining secure and stable IT operations for our employees, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, onboarding, and infrastructure support.
- Support office network infrastructure and security systems; travel occasionally to offices and job sites.
- Install and troubleshoot network equipment such as switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Set up and maintain physical security systems, including cameras and access control.
- Provide hands-on support for users and devices during site visits.
- Respond to and manage support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system; prioritize and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Deliver new hire onboarding, including account setup, app access, VPN configuration, and user training.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows OS, and other approved applications.
- Set up and deploy laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals per company policy and security standards.
- Track IT assets, manage inventory, licenses, and maintain documentation.
- Work with the IT Director to develop and implement policies, including security protocols and best practices.
- Support a primarily remote workforce both remotely and on-site to ensure consistent access to IT services.
- Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups; ensure infrastructure stability and security.
- Follow up with new employees and provide remote training on tools and cybersecurity awareness.
- Maintain detailed help desk records of support requests, resolutions, and asset tracking.
- Participate in IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments as needed.- 3+ years in an IT support or help desk environment, ideally supporting remote/hybrid teams
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows OS
- Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Intune or other device management platforms
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and interact with users at all levels of technical skill
- Able to travel up to 20% to support office locations and job sites
- Associate’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in configuring network devices (switches, firewalls, access points)
- Hands-on experience with surveillance or access control systems
- Prior IT support experience in construction, utilities, or field-based industries
