Heavy Equipment Operator

NSC Minerals' head office is located in Saskatoon, SK, with operating plants in Rocanville, SK, Vanscoy, SK and Brooks, AB.

NSC Minerals is currently hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator at our Vanscoy plant which is located near the Nutrien Potash Mine located 30km southwest of Saskatoon on Highway #7.

Please note that we do not have a camp at this site. We hire employees locally to the area. Candidates must either live near Vanscoy, SK or be willing to relocate to the area.

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating dozers, wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, graders, rock trucks, and more. The Heavy Equipment Operator will assist with general yard and facility upkeep, ensuring the site runs smoothly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, be versatile, and have proficient operating skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Operate heavy equipment including dozer, excavator, wheel loader, skid steer, grader, rock truck, and aerial work platform (AWP)

- Perform yard and facility housekeeping duties as needed

- Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Minimum one (1) year of equipment operation experience in a heavy industrial environment

- Valid class 5 driver's licence

- Flexible mindset and willingness to support various site tasks

- Commitment to safety and teamwork

- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
