Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Hourly Pay: Starting Pay $23.50/her

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating the site’s mobile machines such as excavators/ trackhoes, front end loaders, and bulldozers while also maintaining equipment functionality through routine preventative maintenance. This position is essential to the everyday operation of the site as the Heavy Equipment Operator for trackhoes, loaders, and bulldozers moves the site’s product from one location to another for processing and/or clean-up. This is a great position for someone who likes to run and manage big machines with a high degree of autonomy.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Must be eighteen years of age or older

· Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

· Must have TWO years of heavy equipment operator experience with heavy equipment such as excavators/ trackhoes, loaders, and/or bulldozers.

· Clean driving record preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Operate, drive, and control heavy equipment – including excavators/ trackhoes, front end loaders, bulldozers

· Have complete knowledge of machine settings

· Check and maintain equipment functionality through routine preventative maintenance

· Keep performance records of equipment as needed

· Comply with the company’s safety policies and procedures

· Conduct pre-shift and post-shift evaluations of equipment

· Perform minor repairs and report issues for larger repairs

· Capable of operating equipment in production environment – either meeting production/ stripping goals or loading customer trucks in efficient manner

Essential Functions, Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

· Pre-employment drug screening

· Able to work outdoors in most weather conditions

· Able to work in a physically rigorous work environment. Position may involve walking, standing, sitting, bending, and climbing stairs. Job may require crouching, stooping, or crawling.

· Able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs

· Able to climb steps/ladders

· Able to sit for hours

· Able to shovel material
