Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator/Mechanic, where your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly and efficiently. This role combines skilled operation of heavy machinery with comprehensive mechanical maintenance and repair. We’re looking for a motivated professional with a passion for heavy equipment, mechanical diagnostics, and hands-on repairs to help us achieve operational excellence every day.
- Operate a wide range of heavy machinery including excavators, front end loaders, dozers, and CDL trucks safely and efficiently on job sites.
- Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics on equipment such as Caterpillar and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) machinery to identify issues early.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspensions, brakes, and air brake systems to minimize downtime.
- Fabricate parts or components using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and schematics to meet specific project needs or repair requirements.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics on oilfield equipment, industrial equipment, and other heavy-duty systems.
- Proven experience with heavy equipment repair is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and brake repairs.
- Ability to read schematics and OEM manuals for troubleshooting complex machinery issues.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiar with power tools and hand tools for precise repairs.
- Experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, tractor-trailers, and other heavy equipment safely under various conditions.
- Knowledge of electrical systems within industrial equipment; capable of diagnosing electrical faults effectively.
