Heavy Equipment Operator/CDL Driver

Olympus Technical Services, Inc., an employee-owned environmental services firm specializing in hazardous waste site remediation, mine reclamation, environmental engineering, and emergency spill response is seeking Equipment Operators/CDL driver for a position based in Helena, MT. The position reports to the Field Services Division Manager and takes place in a high paced, high energy, and dynamic environment.

Full-time, part-time, and temp openings available.

Duties:

Safely operate and drive various types of trucks, including semi, side dump, low boy, dump trucks, etc.

Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment.

Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.

Perform routine inspections of the truck and report any maintenance issues.

Communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

CDL required.

40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HazWoper) preferred, but not necessary for qualified individual.

Good driving record.

Mechanical capabilities required.

Ability to lift 80 pounds.

Travel required (typically Monday through Friday, although may be on weekends for emergency response) primarily in Idaho and Montana and/or adjoining states.

Must pass background check.

Ability to pass random drug and alcohol tests.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of project and employee information.

Compensation:

Hourly $25.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE

Overtime pay 1.5 times hourly wage.

Workdays are generally Monday – Friday 40 hours/week+ but may be after hours or on weekends. Schedule may vary based on job schedule and season.
