Heavy Duty Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in servicing and maintaining various types of equipment, particularly farm machinery and heavy equipment. This role requires a commitment to customer service, as you will be working directly with clients to ensure their equipment is functioning optimally.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm machinery and heavy equipment.

- Utilize hand tools and power tools to diagnose and fix mechanical issues.

- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely while conducting repairs.

- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their equipment.

- Conduct thorough inspections of machinery to identify potential problems before they escalate.

- Maintain accurate records of services performed on each piece of equipment.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair tasks.

- Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop or on-site at customer locations.

Qualifications

- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy equipment operation preferred.

- Familiarity with farm machinery is a plus, along with the ability to perform heavy lifting as required.

- Experience using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.

- Prior experience in a dealership or similar environment is advantageous.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Welding skills are desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
