Heavy Duty Field Mechanic - OFF ROAD

Must be a JOURNEYMAN and have experience with off road equipment (ie. dozers, excavators, graders, rock trucks, side booms etc.)

Job Duties include:

- Keep equipment clean, lubricated, and maintained

- Diagnose faults and malfunctions

- Troubleshoot and communicate equipment performance with mechanics

- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems

- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufactures specifications and legislated regulations

- Write service reports in a timely and efficient manner

- Train and/or assist other technicians or apprentices

- Other duties as required by management

Qualifications

- MUST BE A TICKETED Certified journeyman heavy duty mechanic

- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working on off road equipment (ie. dozers, excavators, graders, side booms, etc.)

- Familiarity with pipeline equipment is an asset

- Able to think logically, problem solve, and keep up with changing technology

- Familiar with parts and service manuals

- Able to work well in a team environment

- Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field

- Organized and self-motivated

- Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.

- Clean drivers abstract

Pay dependant on experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $45.00 per hour

Experience:

- mechanical: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)

- Journeyman (required)

- Trade Certificate (preferred)
