VulcanForms Inc. seeks a Head of Digital Engineering for our Devens, MA location.

Job Purpose

As the Head of Digital Engineering you will develop the vision of digital operating systems for our company. You will lead the Digital Engineering team that includes enterprise planning systems, manufacturing execution systems, and data platforms. You will enable and push the frontier of integrating digital solutions with the physical advanced manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive digital services roadmap across the entire company.

- Manage and grow a team that supports multi-site digital solutions within a high growth 24/7 manufacturing facility.

- Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and New Product Introduction (NPI) leaders to define system requirements.

- Manage a team of engineering managers that are leading software engineers, platform engineers, and data scientists.

- Solve complex technical challenges, setting a high bar for engineering excellence and technical problem solving.

- Set a high bar for team velocity, code coverage, test plans, defect rates, cycle times and other software engineering KPIs.

Qualifications

- 12+ years of relevant work experience and 5+ years of leading multi-skilled digital engineering teams

- Proven experience leading engineering teams within a manufacturing environment

- Proven experience defining a strategic roadmap of digital systems with a combination of build and buy for a manufacturing company

- Skilled in developing project level service requirements to support successful delivery and stakeholder alignment.

- Proven experience breaking down comprehensive solutions into subsystems design and identifying off-the-shelf solutions that can be integrated

- Deep technical knowledge and experience in secure edge and cloud architecture

- A comprehensive understanding of APIs, microservices, and other complex systems, as well as knowledge of potential system vulnerabilities and how to prevent them.

VulcanForms offers a competitive salary and equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, VulcanForms provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; generous paid time off; and a 401(k) plan with company match.

The annual base salary range for this position is $205,000 to $298,000.
