What You Will Do:

- Machine rod guides as per customer demand in accordance with all quality and safety protocols

- Uses complex machines in the production process

- Maintains and repairs machines as needed

- Maintains a clean and safe work area every day

- Follows safety rules and procedures; notifies supervisor of any issues in the manufacturing process that may impact safety

- May coach and mentor less experienced Operators

- May make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations

- Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures

- Contributes to the department continuous improvement culture

- Maintains confidentiality of all matters

- Other duties as required


Pre-Employment Requirements:

- Drug and alcohol test

- Criminal background check

- Education verification

- Employment verification


Minimum Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED or equivalent education and/or experience.

- 2+ years of relevant experience.

- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Good oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to follow written and spoken instructions

- Basic analytical skills

- Basic blueprint reading and interpretation skills

- Basic math skills

- Basic tool skills, including the ability to use a tape measure

- Basic organizational and time management skills

- Basic computer skills


Preferred Qualifications:


- Experience with machine tools


Physical Demands:

- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

- The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

- The employee is regularly required to stand for a full shift.
