The Gold Rush Corporate Internship Program is an opportunity for ambitious students who are currently enrolled in a Business - Accounting/Finance program at a Canadian academic institution, and who are highly interested in the mining industry.

Job Responsibilities

The Finance Intern will assist the Financial Reporting and Advisory functions of the Kinross finance department:

- Participation in the 2024 year end and 2025 first quarter external financial reporting process.

- Assist in the preparation of other corporate financial reporting and/or disclosures including the Annual Information Form, Management Information Circular,

- Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA) reports, and Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility reports.

- Analysis of financial information.

- Assistance with other ad-hoc requests and analysis.

Education and Experience

- 2nd or 3rd year Business - Accounting/Finance (or related) program from a recognized educational institution with an excellent academic record.

Skills

- Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Flexibility to undertake various tasks.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.

- Ability to learn quickly and to work well in a team environment.

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Spanish, French, or Portuguese language abilities would also be an asset.
