Job Summary

NiSource, the parent company of Columbia Gas of Ohio, is currently seeking a Summer Intern for Financial Planning & Analysis. This position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring on-site presence three days per week and remote work two days per week.

Essential Functions

- Successful applicants will become integral members of the department, while learning within a team environment, completing meaningful tasks and collaborating with managers on important projects. These positions will be a great opportunity for the candidate desiring to launch their career in Finance-related fields. Successful applicants will build professional relationships with other interns and all levels of NiSource personnel while participating in rewarding professional development exercises and fun, team-building activities. Interns will obtain a broad overview of NiSource's operations and current events in the utilities industry.

- Opportunities are available in the following business disciplines:

- Financial Planning Department

- The intern will gain hands-on experience in performing functions such as building long range financial plans, budget to actual analysis, preparing capital expenditure, revenues and/or operating expense forecasts, developing variance analysis and producing monthly and quarterly management reports.

Required Qualifications For Position

- Currently enrolled in an accredited university with major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business discipline

- Completion of intermediate-level coursework

- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher

- Strong financial acumen and analytical ability

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship

Salary Range*:

$17.20 - $29.70

- The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
