Our client is looking for a dynamic individual to contribute to a variety of projects within the mining, hydropower, and water sectors. This position offers the chance to work alongside a team of skilled professionals in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

- Perform field investigations, including installation of monitoring wells, pumping wells, vibrating wire piezometers, and conducting packer tests.
- Collect groundwater samples and conduct water quality evaluations.
- Assess and characterize baseline groundwater conditions.
- Estimate groundwater inflows for open pits and underground mines, and perform seepage analyses.
- Develop and apply numerical groundwater models.
- Prepare technical reports to support environmental assessments, feasibility studies, and water management strategies.
- Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams in a consulting environment.
- Planning and participating in geotechnical/hydrogeological site investigation programs
- Completing geotechnical and/or civil engineering analyses and design
- Overseeing construction projects
- Coordinating technical work within several disciplines and groups
- Project management activities
- Writing technical reports
- Preparing detailed proposals and schedules
- Mentoring and training junior and intermediate staff
Current assignments that the successful candidate may be involved with include tailings dams, geotechnical support to operating underground and open pit mines, mine infrastructure, water retaining dams, pipelines, and hydropower facilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or Geological Engineering.
- Interest in working across multiple sectors, including mining and water infrastructure.
- Previous hydrogeological experience is an asset but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Valid driver’s license for British Columbia.
